About The Boys and Girls Club:

The Boys and Girls Club has been in SCV for over 50 years. It is a part of a wider organization Boys and Girls Club America which has over 3,000 subgroups nationwide. It began to fill a need for clubs and activities for children and teens.

According to their website, “When kids spend more time at the Club, independent research shows they’re more likely to: Stay engaged in school, get involved in the community, avoid risky behaviors and increase health awareness.”

There are five locations across Santa Clarita, in Newhall, Canyon Country, Sierra Vista, Castaic, and Pico Canyon. They plan to increase both members and club locations in the future.

Newhall Location

This organization offers many youth programs from sports, to wellness, to workforce training. Their Power Hour: Homework Time sessions, DIY STEM & Robotics Program, and Project Learn Program help support youth’s education. The Boys and Girls Club also has a summer program that helps continue learning and structure throughout summer vacation.
