The Santa Clarita Community Task Force on Homelessness represents over 30 local non-profit organizations such as Bridge to Home, The Child and Family Center, and The Salvation Army. This task force began in 2018 as a part of Santa Clarita’s first official government supported plan to address homelessness. If you or a loved one is in need of assistance visit this site for helplines and resource guides.
There are four subcommittee groups that work together to achieve the goals of this task force. The Advocacy and Coordination of Resources subcommittee campaigns for more helpful legislation and organizes resources for those in need of assistance. The Direct Services sector builds connections with local service providers and make plans to combine their efforts. The Housing subcommittee focuses on the issue of affordable housing and related services. The Prevention group is dedicated to providing support to those who are at risk of becoming homeless by connecting them with community resources.
